AAHC is committed to advocacy, education, and coalition building to preserve, expand, and diversify affordable housing in the Albuquerque Metro area, fostering community well-being and prosperity.

In Albuquerque, where housing is recognized as a human right, all residents will have stable and affordable housing provided by a housing system that works for everyone and is embraced as the bedrock of community well-being and prosperity.

We are a volunteer driven and member-based grassroots advocacy organization. We have four major goals:

Raise awareness about the role of affordable housing in community prosperity and well-being

End tacit and active discrimination in the housing market

Advocate for innovative programs and policies to increase affordable housing

Mobilize individuals, organizations, and our membership around opportunities to strengthen existing affordable housing programs and establish new initiatives and partnerships that promote affordable housing
