AAHC Membership Meeting: July 8, 2026

Join us for a timely conversation focused on housing assistance, policy, and advocacy efforts at the local, statewide, and federal levels.

The session will feature Kari Ellis, Deputy Director of Housing at Bernalillo County, who will share updates on the County’s housing programs, including vouchers, move-in assistance, eviction prevention, and related supports. Kari will also provide information on funding and expenditures connected to housing assistance programs.

We will also hear from Natalie Florence, Housing Policy Officer with the Thornburg Foundation, who will discuss the Foundation’s statewide housing strategy and how its work is helping shape broader efforts across New Mexico.

The session will close with Kenza Idrissi Janati, Housing Advocacy Coordinator, Field Strategy & Innovation at the National Low Income Housing Coalition, who will provide federal housing policy and field updates, along with current NLIHC take-action items.

This discussion will offer participants a clearer picture of current housing resources, emerging strategies, and advocacy opportunities that can support housing stability for New Mexicans.
